The Oysterman 16 is based on the designs of the Falmouth sailing dredgers, which are built for noth oyster dredging under sail and serious racin in the off-season. For this reason they are designed with powerful sailing rigs and extra ballast, producing a pleasingly sturdy and fast boat under sail.
